Devotion for April 22, 2025

My dear friends, the Bible tells us that when the Israelite people went to spy out the land, they went to the house of Rahab, a prostitute. She hid them from the king because she knew that their God was the living God, so she helped the Israelites to take the information about the land and return safely. And that prostitute accepted God, meaning she received Yahweh as her Savior.

Friends, Rahab was a prostitute. A prostitute has no respect; people use her, throw money at her face, and leave—they don’t love her. Therefore, a broken woman makes a decision that she will accept God into her life. And when she accepts God in her life and helps His people, God brings her out of that prostitution and adds her to His bloodline. Today, people remember David, they remember Jesus the Messiah; why? Because from David’s lineage came Jesus the Messiah, and David was a descendant of that woman whom people called a prostitute.

Therefore, my dear ones, whether you are broken, feeling unworthy, disrespected, or feeling small, if you will accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior in your life, God will today bring you out of that empty life, which is full of dishonor, which is full of selfishness, which is full of emptiness. God will bring you out of it and add you to His bloodline, making you His relative, His son or daughter, and will make you a cause of His glory. Amen.
