Verse of the day june 27, 2025 — 2 Timothy 1:7
“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”
Today’s Thoughts
Fear is loud, but it is not your master.
You were not born again to cower. You were not called by God to shrink back from life, from faith, or from the fire of your assignment. When fear comes knocking—and it will—you must remember what lives within you: the Spirit of the Living God.
2 Timothy 1:7 isn’t just a verse—it’s a declaration. The Spirit God placed inside you is not timid. It does not tremble. It does not retreat. It gives you power when you feel weak. It fills you with love when your flesh wants to run. And it anchors you with self-discipline when chaos surrounds.
This verse isn’t about pretending fear doesn’t exist—it’s about refusing to let fear have the final say. You may feel the flutter of anxiety, the weight of uncertainty, the ache of insecurity—but none of those have authority over the Spirit within you.
Power. Love. Self-discipline. These aren’t personality traits. They are the birthright of the Spirit-filled. You don’t have to manufacture courage today—you only have to yield to the One who already lives inside you.
Let this truth settle deep: You are not powerless. You are not abandoned. And you are not afraid. The Spirit in you is greater than anything that comes against you.
Today’s Prayer June 27, 2025
Lord,
Thank You for not giving me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. When fear rises, remind me who I belong to. Teach me to walk in Your Spirit, to stand in courage, and to love without holding back. Help me to live boldly—not in my own strength, but in Yours.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
