Verse of the day june 19, 2025 — James 1:5
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” — James 1:5
Today’s Thoughts
There are mornings when your heart stirs with questions the world can’t answer. You wake up standing at a crossroads—unsure of which door to open, what decision to make, or even how to pray. But James 1:5 stands like a lighted lantern in your hands: “If any of you lacks wisdom…” That’s the invitation. You don’t need to pretend you have it all figured out. God welcomes the humble question.
Think of Solomon, the young king who could’ve asked for anything—wealth, power, fame—but he asked for wisdom. And God was pleased. Not because Solomon was perfect, but because he recognized his need. You’re not less spiritual when you’re unsure—you’re on holy ground when you admit it.
God is not stingy with His counsel. He’s not looking down at you with a furrowed brow and folded arms. He gives generously, James says. Lavishly. Without finding fault. His wisdom flows like a river—steady, clear, and full of grace.
Today, don’t just ask for answers. Ask for wisdom—the kind that discerns not just what to do, but how to reflect Jesus as you do it. Wisdom that whispers in the waiting. That steadies your feet. That teaches your soul to listen before it moves.
You’re not alone in this decision. The Giver of wisdom stands with you.
Today’s Prayer June 19, 2025
Father, I come to You not with all the answers, but with an open heart. I confess my need for Your wisdom today. Lead me in every step, in every word, in every thought. Let Your guidance silence confusion and Your peace be louder than fear. Thank You for being a generous God who never withholds what I truly need. Speak, Lord—I’m listening. In Jesus’ name, amen.
