Today Bible verse is – Romans 8:38-39 (ESV)
“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Devotion for May 22, 2025
There are moments when the silence is deafening—when prayers go unanswered, diagnoses arrive, hearts break, and hope feels like it’s bleeding out slowly.
In those moments, the enemy whispers lies: You’re too far gone. God’s tired of you. You’ve messed this up beyond repair.
But then Romans 8 rises like a lion.
Paul doesn’t speculate—he declares. “I am sure,” he says. Not I hope. Not I think. Not maybe. He’s staking his life on this: There is nothing—not death, not demons, not your past, not what you’re afraid will happen next—that can break you away from the love of God in Christ.
That means even on your worst day, you are still wrapped in the arms of a love that cannot be undone.
It doesn’t matter if you feel it. It doesn’t matter if you earned it. This love is not a mood swing. It’s not a fragile thread—it’s a chain forged in the blood of Jesus, anchored in eternity.
God’s love is not waiting on you to get your act together. It has already made its move. Calvary settled the question forever. Christ went to the cross with full knowledge of your darkest thoughts and deepest sins—and still, He stayed. Still, He bled. Still, He rose to call you His.
You might feel lost, but you are not unloved.
You might be walking through hell, but Heaven is holding you tighter than you know.
Don’t measure God’s love by your circumstances. Measure it by the cross. That’s where this love was proven—loud, brutal, unstoppable. And that’s where it still speaks: Nothing can separate you.
Not even you.
Take a deep breath today. You are still His. And He is not letting go.
Prayer for May 22, 2025
Father, thank You for a love that holds me when everything else falls apart. When fear rises and doubts scream loud, anchor me in the truth that nothing—absolutely nothing—can separate me from You. Let this love be more than a verse; let it be my lifeline. In Jesus’ name, amen.
