Verse of the day june 25, 2025 — Colossians 3:15
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.”
Today’s Thoughts
Peace doesn’t always come quietly. Sometimes, it arrives like a gentle but firm voice in a noisy room, speaking above the clamor of your fears, your doubts, your deadlines.
Colossians 3:15 reminds you that peace isn’t just something you feel—it’s something you let rule. That word “rule” carries the image of an umpire, a decision-maker. Which means every day, in every moment, something is trying to rule your heart—worry, anxiety, comparison, pressure. But God has called you to let Christ’s peace make the call.
It’s not that life will suddenly get easier. The questions may remain. The unknowns might not shrink. But when the peace of Christ takes the throne in your heart, you stop letting fear dictate the atmosphere of your soul.
And here’s the beauty: this peace isn’t yours to create. It’s yours to receive. It flows from the One who stilled the storm with a word. The One who rose with scars in His hands, whispering “Peace be with you” to a frightened room. That same peace is speaking to you now.
You were called to peace. That means peace isn’t a reward—it’s your inheritance. So walk like someone who already has it. Breathe like someone whose soul is anchored. And thank Him—not because everything’s perfect, but because His peace is.
Today’s Prayer June 25, 2025
Dear Lord,
Let Your peace rise above the noise in my life today. Teach me not to chase peace, but to let it rule as Your Word says. When anxiety tries to take control, remind me of Your presence. Help me to be thankful even when things feel uncertain. May the peace of Christ be the atmosphere I carry everywhere I go.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
