Today Bible verse is – Proverbs 18:10
“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.”
Devotion for April 21, 2025
Dear friends,
The Word of God tells us that the entire earth had become corrupt, and mankind was filled with evil and sin. People were trapped in wickedness, immorality, and idolatry, having abandoned the worship of the true God. Because of this, it came to a point where God considered destroying the entire earth.
But when God looked down and saw Noah, He found Noah to be righteous and someone who walked in fellowship with Him. Therefore, God revealed His plan to Noah. He instructed Noah to build an ark—a large boat made of gopher wood. Through this plan, God declared His will and saved Noah and his household.
Similarly, when we say today, “God, reveal Your will in my life and fulfill Your plan,” He is willing to speak to us. However, if we, like the rest of the world, indulge in sin, turn away from God, and do not worship Him, how can we expect God to speak to us?
God is still the same—He is a God who desires to dwell with us. In Noah’s time, there was no Bible, yet Noah heard God’s voice. He believed what God told him, obeyed it, and acted accordingly. As a result, he was saved.
Beloved, the Bible says, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” Just like Noah kept himself away from wickedness and walked closely with God, he was not like the rest of the world who were deep in sin. God revealed His plan to Noah, and because of Noah’s faith and obedience, his entire household was saved from the great flood.
If you also desire to be saved in the midst of destruction, and for your family to be saved along with you, then live your life like Noah. Walk according to the Word of God. Stay away from every kind of sin. Let God be with you, and may He also protect your household and give you a blessed life.
Prayer for April 21, 2025
Almighty God, I thank You for this Word today. Lord, I make this covenant that from today onwards, I will stay away from every form of sin and live my life according to Your Word. Help me to walk in obedience like Noah, so that You may protect me and my household from destruction. May Your hand be upon us and lead us into a blessed and safe life. I ask all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
