Devotion for April 24, 2025
Dear friends, if you want to see the living power of the Lord at work in your family, it is essential that you first turn your heart away from all kinds of sin, theft, and adultery. For the Lord Jesus Christ has sacrificed Himself for your sins and has forgiven you. Before this forgiveness, there is redemption for you.
The Bible tells us about a man who went to the temple to pray. He said, “God, I thank you that I am not like other peopleāI do not commit injustice, I fast twice a week, I give a tenth of my income.” But in that same temple, a tax collector was praying while beating his chest saying, “God, I am a sinner, have mercy on me,” and God forgave that tax collector and declared him righteous.
Therefore, when a person comes to God with complete repentance, God forgives them and blesses them. If someone today says they are in the Lord but have not fully abandoned sins, theft, adultery, or their bad habits, that person is not yet fully in the Lord. And if someone does not practice adultery or intoxication but has not accepted the Lord, that person is not in true repentance.
My dear friends, I want to tell you what true repentance is. True repentance is abandoning your sins and accepting God as your own. Therefore, if today you go to God with complete repentance, leaving behind your bad habits and adultery, God will forgive you and bless you. He will deliver you and heal you so that you may glorify God. Amen.
