Today Bible verse is – Romans 8:31 (ESV)
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Devotion for May 13, 2025
There are days when the fight feels fixed against you. Bills stack. Relationships fray. Anxiety creeps in like a slow leak in your spirit. And beneath it all, a whisper asks, “Am I really going to make it through this?”
Romans 8:31 answers with thunder: If God is for you, who can stand against you?
This isn’t shallow comfort. Paul doesn’t write these words from a life of ease. He knew beatings, rejection, shipwrecks, prison bars. But he also knew this—when God steps into the ring, every other voice loses its power.
It’s not that battles disappear. But when the King of Glory is in your corner, no enemy gets the final word.
The shame you carry? He covered it.
The fear that paralyzes you? He speaks peace to storms.
The future you can’t control? He already holds it in nail-scarred hands.
The enemy may roar, but he is not sovereign. The verdict over your life has already been spoken in the courts of heaven: “No condemnation.” “More than conqueror.” “Forever loved.” This is not motivational fluff—it is blood-bought truth.
You don’t need to muster your own strength today. You only need to stand in the shadow of the One who is for you. And when He is for you, no one and nothing can truly be against you.
So breathe. Stand. Go again. Not because you’re strong—but because He is, and He’s not leaving.
Prayer for May 13, 2025
Father, thank You for being for me—fully, relentlessly, and eternally. When fear tries to rise, remind me of who stands with me. When opposition comes, teach me to trust the One who already secured the victory. Help me walk today with confidence, not in myself, but in Your unfailing presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
