Today Bible verse is – Romans 10:14 (ESV)
“How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?”
Devotion for May 19, 2025
There’s someone right now—
on your street, in your office, maybe even in your home—
whose eternity quietly hangs in the balance.
They don’t know the name of Jesus the way you do.
They’ve never tasted the peace that held you together
when everything around you was falling apart.
Never felt the Spirit whisper comfort
in the silence of a sleepless night.
They don’t even know what they’re missing.
But you do.
Romans 10:14 isn’t a casual question.
It’s a holy interruption.
Paul isn’t pointing fingers—
he’s building a bridge:
No one believes without hearing.
No one hears unless someone speaks.
And somewhere in that chain of redemption,
you are the voice God wants to use.
We often picture preaching as a sermon from a pulpit.
But most of the world’s preaching doesn’t come through microphones.
It comes through hallway conversations.
Through a lunch break, a ride home, a late-night text.
It’s when you step out of your own comfort
and into someone else’s confusion,
and say, “I know the One who saves.”
If you’ve been rescued by grace,
then you carry the answer someone else is still aching to find.
You are the sound between their silence and salvation.
That’s not pressure.
It’s privilege.
You don’t need perfect words—just a willing heart.
The Spirit will do the rest.
So maybe today,
instead of only praying for open doors,
you walk through the ones already cracked open.
There’s a voice in heaven
waiting to echo through yours.
You’ve been found for a reason.
Now go and find.
Prayer for May 19, 2025
Father,
give me eyes to see the people around me
not as interruptions,
but as invitations.
Help me speak boldly when the moment comes.
Let my words carry Your hope,
and my heart stay in tune with Your Spirit.
Make me a voice that brings someone home to You.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
