Verse of the day june 24, 2025 — Psalm 91:1
“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”
Today’s Thoughts
There is a place—a sacred place—where the fears of this world cannot reach you. It is not found in the security of wealth or the comfort of man-made walls. It is found only in the presence of God Almighty.
Psalm 91:1 does not say, “Whoever visits,” or “Whoever occasionally remembers.” No, it says, “Whoever dwells.” To dwell means to remain, to abide, to live there. When you make the Most High your dwelling place, you are not a visitor—you are a child who belongs.
In this world, the winds of sorrow will blow. Disease may knock. Disappointment may visit your doorstep. But they cannot enter the place where God keeps you. His shadow is not a sign of darkness, but of covering. His presence overshadows all that threatens to undo you.
There is no safer place on this earth than under the wings of the Almighty. His grace is not weak. His power is not uncertain. His promises are not for someday—they are for this very hour.
You may feel tired. Worn thin. But God says, “Come. Rest. Abide in Me.” Not in your strength. Not in your reputation. Not in what you have or don’t have. But in Him.
Don’t just admire the shelter—enter it. Don’t just quote the verse—live it. Dwell in Him. And when you do, the shadow that covers you will not be the shadow of fear, but the glorious, protective presence of a God who never sleeps, never changes, and never lets go.
Today’s Prayer June 24, 2025
Heavenly Father,
I want to dwell—not just visit—in Your presence. Teach me to abide in Your Word and rest beneath Your mighty hand. When the world presses in, pull me under the shelter of Your wings. Let me live each day from the peace You alone provide. Keep me from trusting in anything less than You. You are my refuge, and in You, I will not be shaken.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
